BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. - A male has been found dead after he dove into Head Dam on Saturday, according to Chico Police.
On Saturday, 21-year-old Jonathan Nguyen, of Livermore, dove into the water, briefly resurfaced then went under the water. The Butte County Sheriff’s Office, Search and Rescue and CAL FIRE searched extensively but were not able to find him.
On Sunday around 1:30 p.m., Search and Rescue teams recovered the body.
A total of 16 Search and Rescue members assisted in the search, along with CAL FIRE staff.
