CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Police issued a community alert regarding two late night robberies that occurred this past weekend on the Northwest Side.

Police said three men robbed two businesses in Albany Park late Saturday night, one in the 4400 block of West Belmont, the other in the 4600 block of West Kedzie. In little more than just a half an hour, the trio entered the businesses, displayed guns, and declared the robberies.

The suspects stole the businesses’ cash as well as robbed the patrons’ cell phones, police said. The three then subsequently fled in a white SUV.

The CPD has urged area businesses to be on heightened alert as well as make sure their surveillance cameras are working.

Anyone with information regarding these robberies is asked to contact Area Five Detectives (312-746-7394).
