(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A former Marshall Fields warehouse on Chicago’s Northwest Side is being developed into retail, residential and film studios.

The Fields Studios, according to Knickpoint Ventures, will offer the largest sound stage in the city.

There will be nine sound stages, totaling 132,000 square feet and more than 350,000 square feet creative and production offices.

The former Fields warehouse, built in 1928, is a million and a half square feet on about 20 acres at 4000 West Diversey.

The studio is expected to be completed early next year.
