Chicago police said the crash happened around 11:15 p.m. in the North Austin neighborhood, in the 4900 block of W. North Avenue. Officers in a marked car were traveling eastbound when a black car traveling southbound on Lamon, slammed into them and kept going.  The squad car then hit a Mazda sedan.

The two officers were taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A man and two women in the Mazda were taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition.
