Chicago Bulls list Alex Caruso, Javonte Green, and Andre Drummond as questionable to play vs. the Charlotte Hornets

The Bulls may be missing important players when they take on the Charlotte Hornets.

The Chicago Bulls head to Charlotte on Friday to take on the Hornets and bounce back from the 121-110 loss they suffered last time out at the hands of the visiting Los Angeles Lakers. With just six games remaining on their regular season schedule, the Bulls are in a good position to punch the last ticket to the Eastern conference Play-in tournament. However, they still have a shot at earning a higher seed with the Toronto Raptors and the Atlanta Hawks just two games in front of them.

Still, the Bulls are unsure whether defensive ace Alex Caruso, reserve forward Javonte Green and backup big man Andre Drummond will be suiting up, as the team listed all three players as questionable to play.

Caruso gutting it out

Bulls coach Billy Donovan said that, at this point, Caruso’s just gutting it out every time he’s out on the floor. With a recurring foot injury bothering him, Donovan expressed that this would be a challenge that Caruso would have to deal with until the season ends.

“Alex will give everything he has got. I could just tell he wasn’t—and this was my opinion—he was not feeling great and was trying to work through it. But he’s going to have to deal with this. I said this will be an ongoing challenge for him the rest of the year. He tries to fight through it the best that he can,” said Donovan.

Green, meanwhile, played just two minutes against the Lakers, and is still looking to reclaim his spot in the rotation after undergoing a debridement procedure on his knee a few months ago. If available, getting more minutes against the lowly Hornets could be very beneficial for him.

Drummond dealing with personal matters

Andre Drummond is expected to accompany the team on their road trip to Charlotte. His availability for the actual game is unclear after he missed the last game for “personal reasons.” The former All-Star recently made headlines after announcing he’s deleting his social media apps to focus on his mental health.
