CHESTERTOWN — Opening weekend of the new Ghostbusters movie, “Ghostbusters: The Frozen Empire,” was made a little more special for kids and longtime fans of the franchise.

On Friday, outside of Flagship Premium Cinemas, greeting moviegoers were local entertainers, Levin Lewis and the company of Levy Metal Enterprises.

They donned brown overalls, power packs and even had their own Ecto-1 with them— its sirens flashing either due to all the ghosts invading the theater screen that night or for the joy in kid’s faces as they neared the entrance.

Flagship, at 21 Washington Square, was just one stop of several movie houses on their Eastern Shore tour. They also visited Easton Premium Cinemas and plan to go to Cambridge Premier Cinemas this weekend.

“There’s not enough for young people to do on the Shore that’s why we’ve gone to extreme lengths to provide them entertainment,” Lewis said.

They’ve done countless intern programs and workshops to teach and entertain.

They pride themselves on their replicas, with the motto: “Your one-stop shop for costumes, props, handmade instruments, accessories, rentals, even movie cars!”

The creative squad invited people to greet them in their costumes at the Comic Convention in Ocean City in December.

They’ll be showcasing replica movie cars and props for patrons.
