51-year-old woman killed in crash on Pocahontas Parkway, Virginia State Police investigating

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The Virginia State Police is currently investigating a deadly crash involving one car.

According to police, at 11:18 p.m. on Thursday, April 25, officers responded to a single-car crash eastbound on Pocahontas Parkway at Wilson Road.

Authorities said 51-year-old Lisa A. Coates, of Chesterfield, was driving at a high speed when her car ran off the road on the right side and hit a tree. The collision caused her vehicle to overturn multiple times.

Based on the report, Coates was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the car. She died from her injuries on the scene of the crash.

This crash is still under investigation by Virginia State Police.
