CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. — A cat was recently saved from being stuck in an engine as Cherokee County deputies sprung into action.

A Cherokee County deputy was at Northside Cherokee Hospital when he was told that a cat that was trapped in the engine of a parked car.

Animal control was notified and the car owner was found in the hospital.

After opening the hood, it took the deputy and animal control officer more than 30 minutes to locate and rescue the kitten.

The cat was taken to Cherokee Animal Shelter where officials said it will be checked out and cared for until the owner can be located, or until a forever family can be found for the kitten.
