Alexander Koenigsberg, 19, of the 2500 block of B. Walton Road, Huntingdon Valley, confessed on Thursday to driving under the influence of alcohol and marijuana when he caused a car accident in Cheltenham that claimed the life of Nicholas Bednarek, 20, of Abington and injured three others who were passengers in the car.

The crash took place January 23, 2022 when Koenigsberg was 18.

He pleaded guilty to three felony counts of aggravated assault by vehicle while DUI, and has been charged with homicide by vehicle by Montgomery County Court.
