Suspect convicted of Vehicular Homicide in deadly Hixson Pike crash

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – A suspect has been convicted of Vehicular Homicide from a deadly wreck on Hixson Pike a year and a half ago.

Traffic investigators say Trent Legra was driving 88 mph in a 40 zone near Northgate in October of 2021.

They say he hit a car that was turning in front of him.

Three people were that car and one passenger was killed.

Legra was convicted of Vehicular Homicide by Recklessness.

Police posted “The Chattanooga Police Department Traffic Division will continue to arrest and prosecute individuals who operate vehicles in a reckless manner.”
