A 43-year-old Silverdale inmate faces charges that she raped a fellow inmate.

Chattanooga Police arrested Shannan Lee Radics on Saturday.

An affidavit we obtained says the incident happened on April 22nd.

That report says a woman claimed Radics approached her, put her hands inside her underwear and committed acts involving her private areas without consent.

The woman told officers 'she knew Radics from 'the street'' and that had a history of substance abuse and she was detoxing.

The report says surveillance footage backed up the woman's claim.

Radics is charged with sexual battery and aggravated rape.
