McCallie Students Give Annual Easter Meal Donation

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Students at McCallie School gave back to the community today.

They gave their annual Easter meal donation to the Salvation Army.

Food was donated by middle and high schoolers at McCallie.

This has been a years-long tradition to give back to those in need in the Chattanooga area.

The Chattanooga Area Commander for the Salvation Army, Mark Love, said, “These boxes are going to go to senior adults, and especially to senior adults that may not have a complete Easter meal. So we’re going to complete those for them, we’re going to make their day when we hand these out, and there’s going to be hams and vegetables and all the parts, all the components, that go into making a healthy Easter meal.”

A McCallie administrator said the high schoolers give meat and the middle schoolers focus on the side dishes.
