UPDATE (Monday):
Online records identify the suspect as 20-year-old Jalen Fusilier.
An affidavit we obtained says investigators watched the incident unfold on surveillance cameras.
That video shows Fusilier going inside a hotel room on the third floor, and exiting the room as shots were fired, according to the affidavit.
Several people were then seen running out of the room, away from the gunfire.
Two people were shot, and suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Witnesses told detectives that Fusilier was upset about his wallet being stolen, and that he suspected someone inside the room was responsible.
While on the scene, the report says Fusilier called police in Giles County, Tennessee, and said he wanted to turn himself in.
After his arrest, the report says Fusilier says when he went inside the hotel room, someone there 'racked' a shotgun, and he says he opened fire, fearing for his life.
But the report says no other witnesses corroborated Fusilier's story.
He is now charged with two counts of attempted first degree murder and unlawful possession of a weapon.
