Man jumps out of an ambulance and is hit by oncoming traffic on I-24
The victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police responded to a man who was hit while attempting to run across Interstate 24.
Police received a call about the incident at 1:38p.m..
They were advised of a man who’d been hit by a moving vehicle after jumping out of the ambulance he was in.
The man was being transported to a local hospital when he jumped from the ambulance and ran directly into traffic.
Life-saving measures had to be taken at the scene.
He was soon transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
No further information about the victim has been released yet- just that he is a 50-year-old white male.
