Daniel Freitag, one of four point guards Virginia has offered from the recruiting class of 2024, will announce his college destination on Friday at 4 p.m. ET, live on 247Sports.

Freitag, ranked the No. 90 overall prospect in the country from the ‘24 class, has narrowed his list to five — Virginia, Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Baylor. The Minneapolis native told 247Sports that he has a clear understanding of “who likes me and who doesn’t, and who is willing to stay with me for how long it has been. All the boxes have been checked now.”

The 6-foot-2 guard said this about Virginia:

“Virginia offered me a while ago and I really liked Virginia since the day they started recruiting me. I have enjoyed every moment and conversation with Coach Bennett. I think it’s a great program so I can definitely see myself there.”

Frietag did not visit Virginia, but did visit Baylor, Minnesota and Wisconsin. He also visited Notre Dame for football.
