Virginia attackman Connor Shellenberger was named to the 2023 NCAA Men's Lacrosse Division I All-Tournament Team, as announced by the NCAA after Notre Dame defeated Duke 13-9 in the National Championship Game on Monday afternoon.

Shellenberger was UVA's lone selection to the All-Tournament Team after recording 22 points on 11 goals and 11 assists in three tournament games. He had two goals and four assists in the first round against Richmond, six goals and four assists in the quarterfinals against Georgetown, and three goals and three assists in the 13-12 overtime loss to Notre Dame in the semifinals on Saturday.

This is Shellenberger's second-career selection to the NCAA All-Tournament Team. He was named the Most Outstanding Player of the 2021 NCAA Tournament after tallying 24 points on 14 goals and 10 assists to lead the Cavaliers to the national championship as a redshirt freshman. That included a four-goal, two-assist performance against Maryland in the national title game.

In nine-career NCAA Tournament games, Shellenberger has tallied 54 total points, averaging six points per game. Shellenberger has tallied five or more points in eight of those nine games, making a name for himself as Mr. May.
