According to the school resource officer, two students were fighting inside Mattawoman Middle School around 10 a.m. when one of the students used pepper spray.
A number of students standing by were exposed to the pepper spray, but no injuries were reported.
The SRO is investigating, but due to the students' ages, they will not face criminal charges. They will however be disciplined through the schools.
