The PCM summer sports teams return to action tonight after enjoying the holiday weekend, with the baseball team hosting Williamsburg and the Class 3A #15 ranked softball team competing at Chariton.

The Mustangs baseball squad defeated Nevada and Greene County last week to improve their record on the season to 2-3, while the Raiders have had a busy start to the summer with eight games resulting in a 5-3 record. The ranked PCM softball team began their season last week and went 3-2 with wins over Nevada, Pella, and Greene County, while Chariton defeated Pleasantville, Clarke, and Centerville to start the summer 3-0.

The Mustangs baseball team is scheduled to have an early start tonight, with first pitch at home scheduled for 5:15 p.m., while the PCM softball team’s road game at Chariton is set to begin at 7:30 p.m.
