Hit-and-Run in Lee County: A Microcosm of National Road Safety Concerns
In the early morning quiet of a Lee County neighborhood, an event occurred that would ripple through the community, emblematic of a broader societal issue. An SUV, straying from the path of AJ Osborne Highway, crashed into a vacant residence around 6 a.m. The driver, leaving behind a trail of destruction, fled the scene on foot.
