Cincinnati rocked and rolled to a 56-21 victory over UCF on Saturday, doing so in front of a big crop of talented prospects from the Indianapolis area. As the Bearcats continue their playoff push this fall with a move to the Big 12 on the horizon, talent from the Hoosier State continues to take notice of what head coach Luke Fickell and his staff are doing roughly two hours away.

Iowa football: Hawkeyes' College Football Playoff scenarios remain clear after loss

Iowa's stunning upset loss to Purdue damages the Hawkeyes' chase for the top spot in college football, but Playoff hopes are not diminished, according to ESPN analyst Jesse Palmer. The second-ranked Hawkeyes are sure to fall out of the top four in Sunday's new AP Poll, but there are enough quality teams remaining on the slate — specifically in Indianapolis — that will pave the way if Iowa wins out.

Indianapolis Motor Speedway Deserves a Sports Car Classic

Today marks the second annual Indianapolis 8 Hour. If the SRO-organized GT endurance race did not show up on your radar, you are not alone. The American leg of what is known as the Intercontinental GT Challenge is one of three endurance races (five, in non-pandemic years) organized between GT3 cars by the organization that created GT3 racing, largely in an effort to standardize the format for events like the 12 Hours of Bathurst and 24 Hours of Spa. That has limited fan appeal, largely among the most dedicated sports car fans in Europe, but the idea of sports car racing at Indianapolis Motor Speedway is an interesting one.

Indiana Members Credit Union recently gave $1,268 to Zionsville Community High School Athletics as part of an ongoing school spirit debit card program. FISHERS — Southmont’s Adam Cox concluded one of the most successful seasons in Southmont tennis history Saturday. When Nic Sheppard isn’t attending classes at South Haven High School, he’s honing his racing skills on the race track. The Sheridan Historical Society is busy building a display honoring the Bud Wright football era at the Sheridan Community Schools. Wright, famous for winning nine football state championships during his tenure at Sheridan, is the “winningest” football coach in Indiana history, and he will be honored in a prominent display.
