Former sprint-car racer gets prison in 2017 fatal DUI crash

A well-known Glenville-area sprint-car racer who caused an alcohol-fueled crash that killed his girlfriend was sentenced Wednesday to serve three to six years in prison. Todd Anthony Gracey, 53, of St. Johns Road in Manheim Township, was found guilty of homicide by vehicle while DUI in the 2017 crash that killed 40-year-old Ambre Rheinhardt, of Glenville.

Police: Maintenance truck stolen from Red Lion Area School District

YORK COUNTY, Pa. — Police are investigating the theft of a maintenance truck from the Red Lion Area School District maintenance facility on Wednesday afternoon. The truck is described as a regular cab pick-up with toolboxes lining both sides of the truck bed. It has a rear license plate with Pa. registration 90864MG and an RLASD license plate on the front.

York County SPCA nears capacity, prompting call to public for support

The York County SPCA is reaching capacity — and the nonprofit is urging York County residents to consider adopting or fostering one of its dogs, cats or rabbits. In just three weeks, the nonprofit animal shelter's population total expanded to 250 animals, 140 of which are cats. Before the surge, the SPCA had so few animals that officials considered taking in animals from different shelters.
