Best and Worst States: Pros and Cons of Living in Wyoming

In 1890, Wyoming became the 44th state to join the union. One of the early victories of the American women's suffrage movement was achieved when Wyoming became the first state to allow women to vote. Even though Wyoming has the tenth largest land area of any state, it boasts just over 550k residents, the smallest population. Yellowstone National Park, one of the most popular national parks globally, is located in most of Wyoming. Visitors come to Wyoming to see Old Faithful, the world's largest hot spring, and various wildlife, including moose, elk, bighorn sheep, wolves, coyotes, eagles, black bears, and grizzly bears.

Newcastle Fire Department claims state title

The Wyoming State Fire Convention came to an end on Saturday with the Newcastle Volunteer Fire Department a clear winner. Second place goes to Riverton while third place belongs to Afton City. Wife hiking with husband falls to her death off Wyoming cliff

A Wyoming woman on a sunrise hike with her husband plummeted more than 200 feet to her death Tuesday morning, authorities said. The Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement that 28-year-old Calli Aust’s husband called 911 shortly before 6 a.m. to report that she had fallen from Steamboat Point in the Bighorn Mountains. The statement said Aust’s husband was unsure where she was when he called, and could not determine her location due to poor cell service.
