Dog Found Dead Inside Stolen SUV In St. Paul

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A dog that was inside an SUV stolen Saturday in St. Paul was found dead Tuesday afternoon, according to police. A Subaru Outback was reported stolen Saturday afternoon near Payne and Sims avenues in the Payne-Phalen neighborhood. Inside was a German shepherd/husky mix named GoGo. Police say the SUV was found Tuesday, four miles west on the 1000 block of North Ryde Street in the South Como neighborhood. Inside was the deceased dog. CDC Recommends Masks For All In K-12 Schools, Regardless Of Vaccination Status

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Minnesota students and teachers may be back in masks again this fall as new COVID cases surge. The Centers for Disease Control announced Tuesday that fully vaccinated Americans in communities with substantial or high COVID transmission should once again wear face masks in some indoor public settings. Most of Minnesota is currently considered to be in a moderate risk. MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A Minneapolis man faces a murder charge after three witnesses identified him as the driver of an SUV that struck and killed a man in an alleyway last week. Quantelize Welch, 31, is charged with second-degree murder, according to a criminal complaint. The complaint states police responded to a reported hit-and-run the 3100 block of Queen Avenue North July 20. The Maple Grove City Council is expected to vote Monday, Aug. 2, on a proposal for a new church. MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Two mothers who met during a difficult time turned their heartache into help for someone else. Toni Plante and Dr. Nora Flom started a podcast called “Totally Got Out of Bed.” The phrase was their response when people asked how they were doing after losing their children to suicide. “Erik was 25.
