Boy walking home with younger brother injured in drive-by shooting in South City

ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -- A 12-year-old boy was injured in a drive-by shooting while walking home from the store with his little brother in south St. Louis City. Officers with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department said the 12-year-old was walking to his Dutchtown home with his little brother in the 3100 block of Keokuk when someone drove by and fired shots after 7:30 p.m. The boy was shot in the lower back and knee and grazed in the calf.

3 cities will not enforce upcoming St. Louis County mask mandate

WILDWOOD, Mo. (KMOV.com) - Wildwood, Eureka and Chesterfield officials will not enforce the mask mandate going into effect in St. Louis County come Monday. Earlier Friday, St. Louis City and County announced that everyone 5 and older must wear a mask in public indoor settings, whether they are vaccinated or not. The order does not apply to someone when they are eating and drinking at a restaurant or if they have a disability that prevents them from wearing a mask. The order comes amid rising COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations both in the St. Louis area and Missouri as the Delta variant spreads.
