Can Wisconsin Home Sales Keep Pace With Last Year's Records?

In 2021, Wisconsin home sales have been ahead of the record sales in 2020. But will the market stay on a record pace for the rest of the year? That's not clear yet. There were 56,503 existing homes sold between January and August in Wisconsin, according to the latest report from the Wisconsin Realtors Association. That's up 2.7 percent from sales of the same period last year.

JANESVILLE, WIS. — Zilber Property Group has purchased an industrial portfolio spanning four buildings and 525,000 square feet in southern Wisconsin’s Janesville. The purchase price and seller were not disclosed. Ranging in size from 45,000 square feet to 250,000 square feet, the buildings are fully occupied by Cummins Inc., Pepsi, National Food Distributors and Panoramic. The properties are located at 101 W. Venture Drive, 505 S. Wuthering Hills Drive, 1700 E. Delavan Drive and 525 E. Conde St.

Developer proposes housing for east side convenience store property

Developer Brandon Cook is proposing the demolition of a closed Stop-N-Go store on the city’s east side to make way for a $5 million housing and commercial space project, according to a Wisconsin State Journal report. The four-story project would include 24 market-rate apartments, 14 underground parking spaces, and 1,052 square feet of commercial space at 2002 Winnebago St. The convenience store has been closed since March after the Madison City Council denied a liquor license for the store. The location was also once home to a post office and laundromat. Cook hopes to begin construction in March 2022 after securing land use approvals of the latest proposal.
