Two arrested Friday in Kandiyohi County with 1.2 lbs of meth, other drugs

Two people were arrested Friday after a task force found over a pound of meth and other drugs at a Kandiyohi County residence. On Sept. 23, the CEE-VI Drug and Gang Task Force performed a narcotics search warrant at a residence in the 63000 Block of 173rd St in Litchfield. During the search, Agents recovered approximately 1.2 pounds of methamphetamine, 51 counterfeit Oxycodone pills believed to contain Fentanyl, Psilocybin Mushrooms, THC, a firearm, ammunition and cash believed to be the proceeds from drug sales.

The Mall of America is suing a restaurant and its co-owner, alleging it signed a lease agreement, failed to pay rent and ultimately never opened. The chain restaurant, Chicken Guy, and its co-founder Robert Earl are named as the defendants in the lawsuit. The fast-casual establishment was also co-founded by celebrity chef Guy Fieri, but only Earl's name is on the lawsuit filed in Hennepin County.

Large fire in Shakopee has several agencies responding Thursday evening

(FOX 9) - Several agencies are responding to the scene of a large fire in Shakopee Thursday evening. Around 8 p.m. the fire could be seen from several surrounding highways. FOX 9 crew near the area of Old Brick Road and County Highway 78 were able to photograph fire, but are waiting on details from Scott County officials regarding the cause, and if there were any victims.

Fire destroys large barn near Kimball

(Kimball MN-) Fire destroyed a large pole shed near Kimball Thursday morning. The Stearns County Sheriff's Department says at approximately 11:44 A.M. Thursday they got a report of a structure fire at 16245 Caisson Road in Maine Prairie Township. Stearns County Deputies were the first to arrive on scene to find a large pole shed on the property fully engulfed in flames. The house on the property was not affected. The property owners, Joshua Bruce Fischer, 40, and Kate Elizabeth Fischer, 37, were not home when the fire started. Kimball Fire Department responded to the fire with mutual aid from South Haven Fire Department, Watkins Fire Department, Rockville Fire Department, and Watkins Ambulance Service. There were no injuries as a result of the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the State Fire Marshall’s Office.

Art of work celebrated at American Mural Project gala

Winsted, Conn. — It was a celebration of workers and the completion of a 120-foot-long, five-stories-high mural at the American Mural Project’s sixth annual Art of Work Gala. The event was held at the location of AMP at 100 Whiting St. on Saturday, September 17. After 21 years of work, the mural was recently completed.

Bad Rooster lawsuit enters mediation

Hennepin County Judge Joseph Klein ordered mediation to resolve a defamation and civil conspiracy lawsuit against the sisters, Kelly Abedi and Angela Hummelgard. He’s giving both sides three weeks to work it out. If they can’t, the lawsuit will resume.
