County Firefighters Step Up For Toys For Tots

County fire departments dropped off toys at Martin’s Supermarket Saturday during the annual Toys for Tots collection drive. Toys for Tots, founded in 1947, is a program run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve, which distributes toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them gifts for Christmas.

Arrest Made Following Crash On Ind. 15 South Of Leesburg

One person was arrested for fleeing after a two-vehicle accident Tuesday morning, where two people had minor injuries. At approximately 6:29 a.m. Tuesday, Daniel L. Halsey, 39, Pierceton, was eastbound on CR 600N in a 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan when Halsey failed to yield the right-of-way to Sean M. Cook, 37, Lakeville. Cook was southbound on Ind. 15 in a 2007 Ford FMS, according to a news release from Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office.

Faculty and students from Debra Collier’s School of Dance in Warsaw attended the Chicago National Association of Dance Masters’ Workshop, held in Schaumburg, Ill. Studio owner and CNADM Past President Debra Collier, MDE, three faculty members and students ranging from novice to advanced, attended the two-day event to improve their skills in ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, contemporary and modern dance.
