Teenager And Woman In Custody For PnB Rock Shooting

Two people are in custody for the killing of PnB Rock. According to The Los Angeles Times, a 17-year-old, whose name has not been made public, and Shauntel Trone, 38, are in custody for the shooting of PnB Rock at Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles in Inglewood, California, on Sept. 12. Shauntel is reported to be the teenager's stepmother. The outlet also reports a third person has been named, Freddie Lee Trone, who is currently on probation for a 2017 charge of driving a car with wanton disregard for public safety. The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) is looking for Trone, and he is believed to be “armed and dangerous.”

Authorities ID man shot to death in DTLA

LOS ANGELES – A man in his 20s who was shot and killed in downtown Los Angeles was identified Thursday. Officers responded to a shots fired call at approximately 6:45 p.m. Tuesday to Ninth and San Julian streets, west of San Pedro Street, near the Flower District, where they found a man lying in an alley suffering from gunshot wounds.

Arson suspect charged for seven local fires

On September 26, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office filed seven counts of Arson against John Dean Thomason, a 51-year-old homeless male. Santa Monica Police Department (SMPD) Detectives were assigned to investigate several recent arson incidents. Detectives reviewed the reports, evidence, and several hours of video surveillance footage and were able to link Thomason to at least seven separate incidents. Soon after, multiple reports of a shooting came in from the same area. Authorities arrived and located a vehicle that had crashed into a fire hydrant. A victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. Landscaper killed after driver loses control of car in El Sereno

A city contracted landscaper was killed in El Sereno after a driver lost control of their vehicle on Wednesday. The collision occurred at around 1:50 p.m. on Huntington Drive, according to Los Angeles Fire Department. A Los Angeles Police Department traffic detective told CBS News that the man, working in the center divider at the time of the collision, was a contract worker for the city.Police say that at some point, and for unknown reasons, the driver lost control of the car and drove up onto the center divider, striking the landscaper before it flipped over, coming to a rest in the middle of lanes heading in the opposite direction. While the driver of the vehicle did suffer some injuries, they were able to escape under their own power. They were taken to a nearby hospital in fair condition.
