BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Bellingham Police Department (BPD) officers were dispatched to a retail center parking lot near the intersection of Barkley Boulevard and Woburn Street about 9:30pm, Tuesday, May 24th, due to a report of an unresponsive person in a vehicle that had been reported stolen out of Bellingham on May 20th.

Four local golfers finish top 10 at state

WHATCOM – Four local golfers finished top 10 in the state in their respective golf tournaments, as the season concluded on Wednesday, May 25. Lynden Christian’s Ty Hagen and Ferndale’s Baylor Larrabee each finished fourth; Larrabee in the 3A boys tournament at Liberty Lake Golf Course, and Hagen in the 1A boys event at Indian Canyon Golf Course.

Anderson Road house fire leaves family displaced

A Birch Bay house fire left one family displaced after the home was engulfed in flames during the evening of May 19. North Whatcom Fire and Rescue (NWFR) division chief Shaun Ward said the fire department was alerted of a fire in the 5100 block of Anderson Road at 5:24 p.m. May 19.
