WAUSEON — A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a Wauseon man accused of fatally injuring a 3-year-old girl. Devon Harris, 27, is wanted for felonious assault and murder in connection with the assault reported Tuesday, Wauseon police said in a statement issued Saturday. The warrant identified Gemma Thompson as the victim. Police were summoned at 4:09 p.m. Tuesday to assist rescue crews on a call for a child having seizures. The child was taken to Fulton County Health Center and later transferred by helicopter to ProMedica Toledo Hospital, where she died Thursday evening of injuries that “were severe and appeared to be the result of trauma,” the police department said. Purging the pain: Adherents tout the benefits of trauma informed yoga

The cacophony of Monroe Street is dimmed upon crossing the threshold of glass separating the outside world from the internal safety of a room where Karen Hover, a Trauma informed Yoga instructor, holds a class for those with a history of addiction. The silence itself is sobering in a room where students sit with mats on the floor, and the lights taper off as students are invited to turn inward. “You just shut off everything around you,” said Ashley Amaya, 33, of West Toledo, who started going to Yoga classes led by Ms Hover about six months ago as part of a rehabilitation program. Once a week students like Ms. Amaya are welcomed to sit with themselves, with their bodies and to literally catch their breathe.

Harbor Town Tavern is not your average sports bar

What do you think when you think of a sports bar? Rowdy football fans? Clinking bar glasses? Greasy chicken chunks? That’s not Harbor Town Tavern. And that’s how it stands out from the crowd of sports bars in the area. This venue opened earlier this year in a former Jed’s in the Harbor Town Place development in Perrysburg. Surrounded by businesses and residences, the location feels a bit more secluded than I would have expected.
