A woman in her 20s was injured in a shooting in Hartford Monday, according to police. Investigators said the victim was found in the passenger seat of a car in the area of 1 New Road around 4:30 p.m. She was taken to the hospital where she is currently listed in stable condition.

Hazy conditions and poor air quality due to wildfires in the West returned to Connecticut Monday afternoon, but a gradual improvement is expected over the next few days. “Northwestern Connecticut, Massachusetts, the Western two-thirds of Massachusetts, eastern New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, it’s all unhealthy,” said Gary Lessor, chief meteorologist at Western Connecticut State University. “You can actually see on the satellite, it’s all so clear, just streams of smoke to the north of the Great Lakes that’s funneling towards Quebec, then southeastern Maine, just waves of smoke.”
