Semi vs. van crash blocks I-82 in Prosser; one seriously hurt

BENTON COUNTY -- A violent crash between a van and semi truck has shut down the eastbound lanes of I-82 near Prosser. Trooper Chris Thorson says life-flight was dispatched for one seriously injured man in the van. The semi driver was not injured. Trooper Thorson says it took rescue crews over an hour to successfully pull the man from the van.

Kadlec: All 17 patients in critical care for COVID are not fully vaccinated

RICHLAND -- Kadlec has released new data that shows the overwhelming number of patients being treated for COVID at the hospital have not been fully vaccinated for coronavirus. According to Kadlec, there are 83 patients in the hospital right now with severe symptoms of COVID-19. Of those 83, 72 are not fully vaccinated. That equals 87% of all the patients. Only 11 patients are fully vaccinated.

Charlie was just nosing around in the Columbia River. Her family was off a beach they had visited many times before just north of Richland, Washington. The young Terrier mix -- weighing about 18 pounds -- had been adopted from a shelter recently. After she put her face in the water Sunday, all of a sudden, Charlie started convulsing. The family quickly wrapped the dog in a towel and raced their boat back toward the Snyder Boat launch.
