State police step up patrols following spate of Interstate 78 crash deaths

Pennsylvania State Police are increasing patrols on Interstate 78 after a spate of crash deaths on a stretch of the highway just outside the Lehigh Valley. The move comes after trooper visibility was already increased in the areas, and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation instituted slower speed limits and included the highway in a new speed monitoring camera program.

Driver at Wawa Left Quickly After Parking Crash

SKIPPACK PA – The owner of a 2013-model Lincoln Continental MKZ emerged Wednesday (Jan. 12, 2022) at about 8:49 a.m. from the Wawa store at 4121 Skippack Pike to find the car’s left rear quarter panel damaged. An investigation by Pennsylvania State Police from the Troop K Barracks in Skippack indicated the parked Lincoln had been hit by another vehicle and its unidentified driver, troopers reported.
