21-year-old shot in Paterson

PATERSON, NJ – Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora announce that at approximately 4:50 p.m. on August 4, 2021, members of the Paterson Police Department were notified that a 21-year-old male Paterson resident arrived at Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey via private vehicle for treatment of a nonfatal gunshot wound.

Watch: Woman Robbed in Broad Daylight While Walking Her Dog in Ridgewood

The police have released video footage of a man who ripped a necklace off a 26-year-old woman on a Ridgewood street Tuesday and then took off with it. The woman was robbed while walking her dog in front of 17-39 Bleecker St. at around 9:35 a.m., when a man on a bike came up from behind and ripped off her gold necklace valued at approximately $1,100.

Hawthorne woman charged for stealing money from the estate of the deceased

HAWTHORNE, NJ – Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes announces the arrest of Nancy Williams, age 64, of Hawthorne, New Jersey. Williams was arrested by members of the Financial Crimes Unit of the Passaic County Prosecutors Office. Williams is charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking (NJSA 2C:20-3) (second degree); Theft by Deception (NJSA 2C-20-4) (second degree); Misapplication of Entrusted Property (NJSA 2C:21-15) (second degree); and Money Laundering (NJSA 2C:20-25) (second degree).

I Snuck Into LEGOLAND NY’s Hotel Before It Opened and Was Shocked

The new hotel at LEGOLAND New York doesn't open until Friday, but this week I went undercover and snuck into the yet-to-open attraction and was shocked by what I saw. While taking my son to the park on Wednesday we noticed that the LEGOLAND hotel appeared to be open. Although the hotel doesn't officially welcome guests until Friday we decided to take a peek inside. The hotel staff was busy working on details in and around the property ahead of Friday's grand opening. We took the opportunity to sneak around a little bit and snap some photos.

He struck a child while driving and kept driving, police say

PATERSON, NJ – Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora announce that based upon an investigation by the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office and the Paterson Police Department, Carlton Felder, 50 years old, from Paterson, New Jersey was arrested on August 3, 2021 in connection to the pedestrian hit and run that occurred at approximately 3:40 p.m. on July 25, 2021, near the intersection of Broadway and Lake Street, in the City of Paterson, New Jersey.

Most people's first instinct when they see a large rattlesnake is to run in the complete opposite direction but these threatened species need saving. That natural instinct has kept our species alive.
