Violent SUV Crash Briefly Shuts Down Portion Of Ardmore Boulevard

By: KDKA-TV News Staff FOREST HILLS (KDKA) – A part of Ardmore Boulevard in Forest Hills was briefly shut down overnight following a violent SUV crash. The SUV left the road and slammed into a tree just after 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Along with the SUV, a second vehicle was involved in the crash. The road has since reopened. Valley homicide suspects to appear in court Monday

Two men are charged with homicide in cases that remain under seal, but will be made public in preliminary hearings set for Monday in Washington County Court. The men are Sidney Devon McLean, 32, of McKeesport and Devell Dexter Christian, 31, of White Oak. They’re charged with homicide, conspiracy to commit homicide and related offenses.

Truck Crash And Fire Briefly Shuts Down Route 28

By: KDKA-TV News Staff PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – On Tuesday night, a portion of Route 28 outbound was shut down for nearly an hour after a truck crash and a fire. A semi-truck and a pick-up truck collided near the old Heinz Plant around 6:30 p.m. Following the collision, the pickup truck had caught fire, causing the northbound lanes to close. No injuries are known at this time but crews were able to clear the scene and reopen Route 28.

Robinson Township Police’s First K-9 Celebrates Final Shift

The department celebrated the final shift for its K-9, Sarik, who is now as of Wednesday, retired. He was the first K-9 in the department’s history when they first began the program in 2013. His handler thanked Sarik on Facebook for being his partner for the last eight years.

(KDKA) – Hussey Copper has agreed to pay a penalty of more than $850,000 and agreed to perform a comprehensive environmental audit, among other agreements, after complaints were brought against the company’s smelting facility from both state and federal agencies. According to the U.S. Department of Justice, a civil complaint was brought against the company by the USDOJ on behalf of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, alleging the company violated the federal Clean Water Act and Pennsylvania’s Clean Streams Law in Leetsdale.
