An Ohio man is dead after an accident at a West Virginia coal mine

WHEELING, W.Va. (AP) — Officials say a coal miner has died in an accident at a northern West Virginia underground mine. The West Virginia Office of Miners’ Health, Safety and Training says 38-year-old William A. Richards of Cadiz, Ohio, was killed in the accident Wednesday at the Tunnel Ridge Mine in Triadelphia.

Canonsburg couple facing charges in 3-month-old's death

Sycamore summer season camp enjoyable | Information, Sports, Work opportunities

The Sycamore Youth Centre hosted a summer time camp that involved far more than 100 little ones in grades kindergarten by way of 8 and 35 volunteers when it was held Aug. 8-12 at the center, situated at 301 N. Fourth St., Steubenville. The learners discovered Bible stories from the Previous and New Testaments and, for a palms-on discovering encounter, participated in classes centered on a STEAM curriculum, an acronym for Science, Technological know-how, Engineering, Artwork and Arithmetic, in accordance to Bobbyjon Bauman, again left, heart director. STEUBENVILLE – This week the city council found out that it needs to address problems at Belleview Pool or there may not be Belleview Pool for much longer. At a meeting Tuesday, Parks and Recreation Director Laurie Fetherwolf asked the board for permission to begin work with Aspire, the city’s grant-writing advisor, on an application for a $150,000 grant from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. A domestic match will require $150,000. Fetherwolf said the application would not be due until November, so the board would have plenty of time to withdraw.
