Wakefield man arrested for possessing sexually explicit conduct

PONCA, Neb. (KCAU) – A Nebraska man was arrested on July 29 for possessing of sexually explicit conduct. According to a press release from the Dixon County Sheriff’s Office, Jose Fregoso, 27, of Wakefield, was arrested for possession of sexually explicit conduct, which is a felony that can be punishable up to 20 years in prison.

Norfolk adds new locations to annexation plan

NORFOLK, Neb. -- The City of Norfolk approved a resolution to add multiple locations to the 2019 Norfolk Boundary study and to use that updated study for an annexation plan. The plan would extend the city limits to areas currently not within Norfolk's boundary. Many locations being added are properties already owned by the city such as the Norfolk Airport, Nord Park, and Well Head Protection.

Norfolk diesel price check shows cheapest station saves $0.29

(NORFOLK, NE) Your choice of gas station could be costing you as much as $0.29 if you’re buying diesel in Norfolk, according to a recent price survey. The title of cheapest station in the Norfolk area went to Victory Road Discount Fuel at 3001 N Victory Rd, according to a Tuesday survey by GasBuddy. Diesel was listed there at just $2.9 per gallon. The most expensive station in the city was $3.19, at Love's Travel Stop at 1300 W Monroe Ave, the survey found:

New Northeast-WSC agreement designed to strengthen area industrial technology workforce

NORFOLK, Neb. – A new agreement between Northeast Community College and Wayne State College has the potential to strengthen the region’s industrial technology workforce. On Tuesday, the presidents of the two colleges signed a Memorandum of Agreement that creates the Associate of Applied Science (AAS)/Bachelor of Science (BS) Technology program. It allows graduates who complete their associate degrees at Northeast Community College to transfer all of their completed academic credits to Wayne State College to study industrial technology and earn a bachelor degree.
