Wayne County Man Arrested for Too Many Wildlife Feeders

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Sodus Point Man following an investigation into an animal complaint in the Village of Sodus Point. Deputies arrested 71-year-old Donald Antal of Third Street in the Village of Sodus Point for Unlawfully Feeding Wildlife. The charges stem from numerous animal complaints where neighbors allege that Antal had in excess of twenty-two feeders on his property to feed wildlife in violation of the Village of Sodus Point local ordinance 57-6B(1).

State Police Release Drivers Involved in Serious Wayne County Crash

State Police have identified the drivers involved in the Monday morning accident at Macedon Center and Walworth Roads in Macedon. 39-year-old Jamie Stobie, of Walworth, suffered serious injuries when her car was struck by a tractor-trailer that failed to stop at a stop sign. The driver of the tractor-trailer, 34-year old Tuychiev Otabek, from Brooklyn, was treated at the scene and released.

Police arrest Gananda student for allegedly making terroristic threat

GANANDA, N.Y. — New York State Police say a Wayne County teenager is facing a felony charge in connection with an allegedly threatening social media post. On Wednesday, state police say they were notified by the Macedon Police Department about a post which they say shows a 17-year-old Gananda High School student posing with what appears to be an assault weapon. According to investigators, district officials became concerned and immediately contacted law enforcement.

On May 25, 2022, at approximately 12:30 p.m., the State Police was notified by the Macedon Police Department of a social media post by a student who attends the Gananda High School.
