1 facing drug charges after Wausau crash

One person is facing criminal charges in connection with a single-vehicle crash Thursday in Wausau, according to the Wausau Police Department. Police and rescue crews were called at 1:49 p.m. Thursday to the 800 block of McIndoe Street for a vehicle that crashed into a tree. The driver and sole occupant was unconscious and not breathing.

Local Woman Faces Homicide Charges In OD Case

WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — A local woman is facing reckless homicide charges for the overdose death of a man from 2021. Lyndy Lucas, 40, of Weston was arrested on June 15th after being tied to the death of a man in July of last year. Investigators were able to trace the drugs to Lucas. The man’s identity was not released.

Falken drivers scored a second place and a pair of thirds in the season-opening rounds of the 2022 Amsoil Championship Off-Road Series at Antigo Lions Roaring Raceway. The triple-podium results came from the efforts of Trey Gibbs of Murrieta, CA, who earned third in the ProLite race in Round 1, having started in 22nd. Gibbs during Round 2 started in seventh and with four laps remaining, jumped into fourth, moving to third the very next circuit, and made a pass to finish second on the final corner, the company says.

Hazel was born August 14, 1930 and was the daughter of Emma Zahrt and Robert Kuhnert. Hazel married Wilbert A. Kell on June 11, 1955, at Zion Lutheran Church in the town of Easton. The couple celebrated 56 loving years together. Hazel worked at GTE Telephone Co, farmed, and worked at Lemke’s Cheese Co.
