Man arrested after SWAT situation in Clintonville

CLINTONVILLE, Wis. (WBAY) - A man was taken into custody after a SWAT situation in Clintonville. At about 7:20 p.m., Clintonville Police were called to a home on N. Main Street for a domestic disturbance. Family members stated a 32-year-old man was in the house “very intoxicated” and possibly armed with guns. Police say he made statement about not going back to prison.

CLINTONVILLE, Wis. (WFRV) – A Clintonville man is in custody after a possible domestic disturbance on Monday night. According to the Clintonville Police Department, they were sent to a home Monday around 7:20 p.m. on N. Main Street for a possible domestic disturbance. When officers arrived, they were able to make contact with family members that said the 32-year-old man was in the house and very intoxicated. They also learned that he might have had firearms and made comments about not going back to prison.

FOX VALLEY, Wis. (WBAY) - Governor Evers announces nearly ten million dollars in Workforce Innovation Grants are going toward two projects in Northeast Wisconsin. The Waupaca County Economic Development Association is receiving more than $3-million to fund transportation programs to get people in rural communities to and from work. And $6.5-million will be used to get those who suffer with mental health issues on the job.

A 29-year-old Oshkosh man involved in a hit-and-run accident in Outagamie County was arrested in Winnebago County Tuesday night. The vehicle driven by Victor Santos was all over the road and was located by using DOT traffic cameras. A trooper from the State Patrol’s Fond du Lac post pulled the vehicle over on the off-ramp from Interstate 41 southbound to State Highway 76. Santos failed field sobriety tests and was arrested for operating while intoxicated-first offense with an occupant under 16 years old. He was also charged with a child safety restraint violation and operating without a license. The time of the incident was 6:44 pm.

Fond du Lac Police responded to two separate calls early Monday morning which were reported to have involved gunfire. The first in the 300 block of Forest Avenue was just after 1 am and involved an individual who was reported to have been shot multiple times. Police had a large response that included the deployment of an armored vehicle, drone, robot, and K-9 Unit only to learn that the so-called victim was not shot but had been using drugs. He was taken to St. Agnes Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
