May Day at Beck’s Mill is this Saturday

SALEM – May Day at Beck’s Mill is this Saturday with a memorial dedication to volunteers that are no longer with us. Beck’s Mill, located at 4433 South Becks Mill Road, is a historic gristmill in Washington County, seven miles southwest of Salem. It was built in 1808, rebuilt in 1864 after a fire, one year after John Hunt Morgan demanded ransom for every Washington County mill to be spared from burning.

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ind. (WAVE) - The identity of the boy whose body was found inside this suitcase in Washington County remains a mystery. Indiana State Police Sgt. Carey Huls said instigators realize people want answers to about the heartbreaking case, and so do they. He said this is the type of case that keeps Huls and his fellow detectives awake at night.
