Paterson man wounded in Straight Street shooting

A city man was wounded in a shooting on Straight Street early Monday evening, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office. The victim, 34-year-old, was struck by gunfire at around 7:41 p.m. He arrived at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center via private vehicle seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound.

The officers, along with the homeowner and animal control officers, crouched under the car and finally freed the kitten. Kiki Sasso, who has lived in the Caldwell and West Caldwell area for 24 years, is first hand seeing the fruits of Lasagna Love labor. “People are just so very appreciative of a warm meal,” she says, “I know there was one woman in Rockaway that I delivered to who had requested a lasagna, and she was dealing with the post COVID effects, and she really couldn’t cook. And when I delivered it, she did come to the door and she was so happy and so appreciative and she said, ‘I promise you, when I feel better, I’m going to pay this forward. I’m going to do this, too.’ And that’s really what it’s all about.”
