Hoosiers orchestrate unusual family reunion, over a century later

(WEHT)- The loss of a loved one is a tragedy, but the loss of the tombstone dedicated to keeping their memories alive is disturbing. Harry Allen and Anna Borders both died well over 150 years ago and their parents and siblings are gone as well, but that didn’t stop Shane Kocher and Tracie Ruff from trying to find their missing tombstones and return them to their rightful, and final, resting place.

Get ready to see more orange barrels on your daily commute from Chandler into Evansville. The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced some more roadwork coming to the Chandler area. A couple of weeks ago, we reported a new worksite speed limit on State Route 62 from I69 into Boonville is 45 miles per hour. Many were confused by this because the only construction going on at that time was happening in the town of Chandler. I reached out to get some clarification on that. Jason Tiller, the District Communications Director with the Vincennes District of INDOT had this to say to clear up any confusion:

Braves keep composure, win in extra innings

Tecumseh coach Gordon Wood probably saw himself as bad luck when he brought his Braves, the number one ranked team in Class A, to the North Huskies softball complex on May 10. Wood had to perform his civic duty on a Warrick County jury that day and thus wasn’t able to arrive at the field until the fourth inning. At the time of his arrival, the Braves had a 2-0 lead. While it looked like the Braves were going to walk away with the easy win, the Huskies were able to tie it on a home run in the final inning to send it into extras.
