Man's son, wife charged in connection with his death

WARREN COUNTY, Miss. — A 57-year-old man is dead and his son and his wife are facing charges. Warren County sheriff's deputies were called about 7 p.m. Tuesday to a home on Castle Road. Sheriff Martin Pace said Jeffrey Young Sr. was found shot to death in the front yard of his home.

Warren County home a total loss after overnight fire

A home on Jefferson Davis Road in Warren County caught fire at approximately 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday and required multiple units before it was extinguished hours later. Warren County Supervisors vote on $1.6 million paving project

The Warren County Board of Supervisors voted on Monday to accept a bid for $1,620,956.50 to implement a significant portion of the county’s road paving plan. The contract was awarded to Central Asphalt, the low bidder. County Engineer Keith O’Keefe reviewed the bid and recommended the award of contract to the Board in that amount. The only other bid, from APAC Mississippi, Inc., came in at more than $100,000 higher and was rejected by the Board of Supervisors.
