Jason Sudeikis is an Emmy front-runner for his work on Apple TV Plus’ “Ted Lasso,” playing a relentlessly cheery soccer coach whose sunniness conceals darkness. Kathryn Hahn put on a similarly happy face, concealing far more dangerous secrets, as Agatha Harkness, the nosy neighbor on Disney Plus’ “WandaVision.” The pair worked together before on the 2013 comedy caper “We’re the Millers.” They connected across time zones while Sudeikis was shooting his second season in the U.K.

Wanda Maximoff Returns To Westview In A New Commercial

If you, like millions of other excited fans, soaked up every episode of "WandaVision" like a ShamWow made out of enthusiasm, then you know a few things. You know that Vision is now rocking the approximate pallor of Conan O'Brien before his makeup team gets to the studio. You know that sometimes, what appears to be a universe-changing development, seemingly designed to tie a fractured-but-beloved tangle of franchises together after 20 years of confusion, is actually just a setup for a gag about a guy whose last name is "Bohner."

Kathryn Hahn interview: ‘WandaVision’

“I knew what we were doing was very special and very different,” says Kathryn Hahn of “WandaVision.” Nevertheless, she didn’t expect the feverish level of conversation that the Disney+ limited series would generate, especially around the revelation that her character was Agatha Harkness (all along). The actress was told the Marvel series was supposed to be “the experimental cousin coming out second,” but a shift one release schedule and catchy theme song later, and seemingly everyone was devouring the sitcom world of ‘WandaVision.” Watch the exclusive video interview above.

Hyper-Specific Worlds of ‘WandaVision,’ ‘Genius: Aretha,’ ‘Mare of Easttown’ Still Produce Highly Relatable Female Protagonists

Really getting under the skin of a fully realized female character has long remained a challenge in television, but in recent years, the brilliant-yet-troubled heroine has been taking a back seat to someone more authentically human, whose personal struggle is no longer peppered in through lazy shorthand ciphers that check the “complex character” box.

Emmy spotlight: ‘WandaVision’s’ Paul Bettany has been a scene-stealer for years, and it’s time everyone recognizes it

For several years I’ve jokingly advocated for the Emmys to add a category specifically for drunk acting. It started when Jake Johnson took acting inebriated to a whole new level as Nick Miller on “New Girl,” but I was again reminded just how tough it can be to portray someone who’s drunk when Paul Bettany humorously nailed it, with purposeful exaggeration, in “WandaVision’s” second episode, “Don’t Touch That Dial.”

‘WandaVision’ Costume Designer on Creating a ‘More Mature’ Scarlet Witch Look

As Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) played out a family fantasy across multiple decades of sitcom television in Disney Plus’ “WandaVision,” veteran costume designer Mayes C. Rubeo had to dress her for the part. But while she played with color and texture to represent fashion trends of gone by, she also had to create present-day, real-world looks for those trying to get down to the bottom of what was going on with Wanda, as well as offer a new take on the iconic Scarlet Witch costume.

WandaVision Star Teyonah Parris Teases Monica Rambeau's Return for The Marvels

After making her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in WandaVision, Teyonah Parris will reprise her role as Monica Rambeau in the Captain Marvel sequel, The Marvels. It's a progression that seems natural to fans of the MCU who are used to seeing characters start in one project and continue in others, but for Parris, while she was told from the beginning the Marvel television projects would be part of the larger MCU, there was no guarantee her character would make it to the big screen.
