MANHATTAN—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a theft in the 200 block of Manhattan Town Center in Manhattan. Just after 3:30 p.m. Monday, Ulta Beauty reported three unknown female suspects stole numerous beauty supplies with an estimated total loss of approximately $1,300, according to the Riley County Police Department activity report.

The incident was reported around 3:37 p.m. Monday at the Ulta Beauty store in the Manhattan Town Center, located near 3rd Street and Poyntz Avenue in Manhattan.

MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) - Indoor mask requirements for City of Manhattan buildings have been dropped to strong recommendations. Starting Wednesday, Oct. 27, the City of Manhattan says staff and visitors will no longer be required to wear masks inside city-operated facilities. Masks are still strongly recommended for vaccinated or unvaccinated residents aged two and older.

Funds Available for Income-Qualified Manhattan Homeowners

(MANHATTAN, KS – October 26, 2021) The City of Manhattan announces that it has funds available to assist eligible homeowners within City Limits through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program for the 2021 Program Year. The City began offering a Housing Rehabilitation Program funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in 2010. The Program provides funding that can be used to assist low- and moderate-income (LMI) homeowners make critical repairs and accessibility modifications to their homes. LMI households are those that earn 80% or less than the Area Median Income. For a family of 4 in 2021, that rate is $61,900. Under HUD CDBG program, the City of Manhattan has applied more than $1.84 million to assist over 100 homeowners with rehabilitation projects through the Housing Rehabilitation Program.
