Driver dies after semi loses tire, overturns on Kansas highway

RUSSELL SPRINGS, Kan. (KAKE) - A 49-year-old northwest Kansas man was killed when authorities say his semi crashed after losing a tire. The accident happened at around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday on K-25 in southwest Logan County. The Kansas Highway Patrol says Todd Kuhlman was heading south and after the rig lost its right front tire, it crossed a ditch and overturned. The semi landed on its top along a fence line.

LOGAN COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities investigating a fatal Wednesday rollover crash have identified the victim as Todd J. Kuhlman, 49, Oakley. The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1978 Kenworth semi driven by Kuhlman was southbound on Kansas 25 twenty one miles north of highway 96. The semi lost the front right tire, left the road to the right, crossed the ditch sideways and rolled on its top along the fence line.
