The Wagoner County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a person of interest in a counterfeit money scam. According to investigators, a man walked inside the Porter Country Store just after noon on Friday and bought $10 worth of items, and paid with a one-hundred-dollar bill. When the money was taken to the bank, it was determined that the bill was fake. The man was seen driving a White Cadillac sedan.

TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) — Have you ever gone into a store, swiped your card, and it's declined? It can be embarrassing, but for crooks, it's the new way to scam a business. Wagoner County Sheriff's Office Deputy William Sieg said that's how a scam began this week in Broken Arrow.

WAGONER, Okla. — The Canebrake is reopening after six years of being closed. After reopening, they plan to have a series of five cabins, eight retreat rooms and duplexes that will have four king and queen suites inside the hotel style building in Wagoner. It will also have spa rooms, yoga rooms and a game room area.

Since January of last year, District Attorney Jack Thorp, who represents four counties in Eastern Oklahoma, says his district has seen 76 drug or alcohol related deaths and 60% of those are fentanyl related.

WAGONER COUNTY, Okla. — Tuesday marks the first National Fentanyl Awareness Day, as law enforcement agencies across the country continue cracking down on the drug. Wagoner County District Attorney Jack Thorpe says since January 2021, the county has had 76 drug and alcohol-related deaths. 60 percent of those deaths are fentanyl-related.
