Kokomo woman charged in fentanyl overdose death, turns herself in

KOKOMO, Ind. — A Howard County woman has turned herself in nearly a month after police say a man died of an overdose from fentanyl that she sold him. The charges against 37-year-old Courtnay Titus stem from a Sept. 29 incident where Kokomo Police found a man dead in a southside apartment complex. An autopsy on the man, KPD said, showed he died from fentanyl toxicity.

Construction to begin on Railcar Project in Peru

PERU, IN- Recently, Mike Kuepper, President of the Nickel Plate Trail, was presented with checks totaling over $4,600 for the Railcar Restoration and Relocation Project in Peru. The checks were proceeds from a tenderloin dinner held by Blair Ridge Health Campus and from the October Miami County Train Show and Swap Meet. These funds will be used to lay the track segment needed for the railcars. Construction is scheduled to begin next month.

Market At The Museum

NORTH MANCHESTER – The North Manchester Center for History invites the public to it third annual Market at the Museum. The Market runs through Dec. 10. Shoppers have an opportunity to see local artists and vendors displaying their wares within the museum’s exhibit area. A wide variety of items including jewelry, pottery, sculpture, fine art and locally sourced honey/beeswax products will be available. Purchases support local artisans as well a portion of all sales go to the operation of the museum.

Manchester University announces personnel cuts

NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. (WPTA) - Manchester University officials say that they cut more personnel positions. The announcement was made on November 18 by University President Dave McFadden that 16 personnel positions were eliminated. McFadden says a majority of these cuts will affect the North Manchester campus but did not specify which departments were impacted.

Construction continues on Gas City medical campus

Marion Health Network’s Gas City medical campus, which is under construction just off of I-69 near Payne’s restaurant, is still undergoing development. When fully finished, the four-story building will occupy 100,000 square feet, sit on approximately 100 acres of land and will provide a number of services to the people of Gas City and the surrounding area.
