Police catch suspect wanted in Grayville shooting after chase through Wabash County

A Mount Vernon, Illinois man is behind bars accused of shooting a Fairfield man Monday afternoon at a house southwest of Grayville. The victim has been identified as Ronald D. Jolly, 46 of Fairfield. The suspect has been identified as Ashton T. Harper, 27 of Mount Vernon. The shooting scene was on White County Road 2400 North, just west of the Title Loan business south of Interstate 64.

Wabash County Deputy's Truck Hit During Pursuit of Stolen Vehicle

The Monday pursuit of a stolen vehicle ended in the arrest of two individuals after the Wabash County Sheriff's Office (WCSO) says they crashed into a deputy's patrol vehicle. The sheriff's office says it coordinated with Kentucky's Henderson Police Department (HPD) on Monday around 4:43 p.m. to find a stolen 2013 Ford F-150 from Wabash County.
